The unseen force of governance.
A delegate, debater, and self-claimed orator, he’s either drafting geopolitically impossible yet oddly creative communiqués or scribbling smut you shouldn’t read. Often found in kitchens—hunting food or cooking it—his culinary flair fuels one belief: he will be a great man (for her, name withheld). An ex-cricketer for Eastern Railways and state swimming champion, his fall came from two things: rising pressure on the ground and his greatest love—politics. With blunt questions and high expectations, your best bet is to run if you find him in committee. Today, he serves as Secretary-General of SMUN.
People call him Saddam Hussein. He doesn’t correct it, it’s funny, and he respects the man as a role model for decisiveness and chaos management. Runs on coffee, caffeine, and broken sleep cycles. Late nights are spent awake for no reason other than to make everyone around him miserable. Weak arguments? Crushed. Drafts? Torn to shreds. Anime keeps him twitchy and jittery. Research gives him ideas that are extreme, reckless, and probably illegal. Political opinions? Absolute chaos. No one sane can follow them, and that’s exactly the point. Mistakes stick to him like flies. Sanity avoids him. Patience doesn’t exist in his vocabulary. He doesn’t lead, just guides things from the sidelines. He’s the Deputy Secretary-General of SMUN—a caffeinated, chaotic, probably destructive force.
Presenting Sananya Chakraborty, the dynamic Head of Delegate Affairs at SMUN 2025. An unrelenting perfectionist powered by caffeine and wit, she transforms endless to-do lists into seamless execution. Balancing sarcasm with loyalty and precision with passion, Sananya is the tireless force who ensures flawless delegate experiences, the irreplaceable, biryani-loving backbone of the Delegate Affairs team.
Ashmit Seal, the Under Secretary-General for Delegation Affairs at SMUN 2025, is someone who thrives on organization, multitasking, and leadership. Dedicated to ensuring that every delegate’s experience is seamless and engaging, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the spirit of the conference. Outside the world of MUNs, Ashmit is passionate about cooking, dramatics, biology, and technology, while also being a guitarist with a fondness for Elvis Presley. A true enthusiast of Indian committees, he enjoys the debates as much as the diplomacy. Though he openly admits to being a “stressful guy indeed,” with a streak of impatience, he channels that intensity into making his work impactful. Just don’t expect him to enjoy early mornings or physics. Ashmit brings a blend of dedication, wit, and creativity, making him a dynamic presence in SMUN 2025.
Afreen Chowdhury, Finance Head of SMUN, doesn’t just crunch numbers—she bends them to her will. Fueled by black coffee and an iron will, she guards the budget like a fortress. Stubborn, precise, and fiercely loyal, she ensures every rupee serves its purpose. Passionate and relentless, Afreen isn’t just finance—she’s SMUN’s financial backbone (cap).
Sambit Roy, USG Media – the brain behind every reel, logo, and edit that makes SMUN’s Instagram pop. From syncing Saiyaara to Lok Sabha chaos to making Churchill’s fumbles sound powerful, his humour blends effortlessly with sharp editing skills. Fueled by caffeine and Red Bull, Sambit turns ordinary moments into unforgettable content. Media for him isn’t just design or reels—it’s a vibe, a mood, and sometimes, pure chaos served with perfect timing
Ahmed: A coding whiz with a racket in one hand and a chessboard in the other, who moonlights as a film-making enthusiast. When not dissecting Protista or debating global crises as Eisenhower in MUNs, he’s analyzing stock graphs, collecting coins, or schooling friends in table tennis. Equal parts strategist, storyteller, and snack enthusiast—basically, the guy who can solve a formula, a plot twist, and a crisis, all before breakfast.
Meet Ritankar Mondal, your Under Secretary General Hospitality and The Vice Chair of UNGA-DISEC: partly a football star, partly a caffeine powered debate machine and partly a music-obsessed, book-hoarding, pop culture encyclopaedia. Despite living the "american dream" he somehow aces NEET tests while juggling all of the above and even argues for fun like it’s a competitive sport. He is the type of person who will casually text you “noted, delegate” just to mess with your sanity. His argumentative skills are second to none yet he is one of the most approachable guys you'll ever meet. The moment you face any trouble, he will be right there to help you out.

Ayush is a fourth-year student of law, inclined specifically towards international law governing conflict, human rights, subalternity and third world approaches. He has been a part of the Kolkata MUN and debating circuit for the past eight years, often found playing the devil's advocate. He is also into the academia, presenting and writing on his interest areas in international law and relations. For him, public speaking is an exchange platform for a dialogic discourse and deep analyses.
A political mind unafraid to embrace the unconventional, he openly supports his own definition of Neo-Nazism — one that is entirely non-violent — while also admiring strands of Marxist ideology. His fascination with Soviet and Russian aviation fuels an obsession with fighter jets, while cricket and Formula 1 keep his competitive fire alive. Rooted in his Rajput heritage, he’s naturally drawn to war-based committees where conflict, power, and strategy dominate. Relentless, fearless, and unapologetically radical in thought, he now serves SMUN 2025 as Vice Chairperson of the UNGA DISEC — Samrat Pratap Singh.
Ritankar Mondal, Vice Chairperson of UNGA-DISEC at SMUN 2025, is an 11th grader with a dream of becoming a doctor. When he’s not buried in books, he’s busy chasing footballs, lost in music, or diving into pop culture. Armed with a coffee addiction strong enough to power his debates, Ritankar blends wit, energy, and charm in equal measures. Friendly yet unforgiving, he’s sure to make SMUN 2025 an unforgettable experience.
Since his early school days, Sambit has juggled debates, editing, football, and music. An eleventh grader (still wondering why he took science), he balances creativity with his passion for media, diplomacy, and leadership. A sneaker enthusiast with a soft spot for Jordans, Sambit brings both flair and focus to his work. As USG Media and Director in DISEC, he's the mind behind impactful edits, sleek logos, and engaging content, while also drafting key communiqués that bring structure to proceedings. Known for his fact-based humor and supportive approach, he aims to guide delegates toward an active, memorable committee experience-after all, the gavel is still lighter than his punchline.
Since his early school days, Shivans Bhura has been passionate about oration, theatre, and active participation. Now pursuing a BA in Journalism and Mass Communication at Bhawanipur Education Society College, he continues to channel his creativity and dedication into every endeavor. Having participated in numerous conferences, he has explored diverse formats but finds his true passion in the dynamic world of Indian Committees. Admired for his affable nature and ability to inspire, Shivans has earned a reputation as a fountain of joy and positivity. With a strong foundation in public speaking, theatre, and diplomacy, he now steps in as the Speaker of Lok Sabha at SMUN 2025, ready to lead with enthusiasm and ensure an engaging and memorable experience for all delegates.
Jashojeet Banerjee is equal parts wit, sarcasm, and drama. The kind of person who’ll dodge 19 of your calls only to reply the next day with a deadpan “bol,” he thrives on sharp comebacks and below-the-belt roasts that somehow leave you laughing instead of crying. Not one for paperwork, Jashojeet lets his words do the heavy lifting—blunt, bold, and always entertaining. Whether he’s breaking down politics with his unique takes or flooding stories with his trademark sarcasm, he’s impossible to ignore. And that’s exactly why SMUN 2025 needed him as Lok Sabha’s Deputy Speaker—because some chaos deserves a mic.
Ashmit Seal, Parliamentary Reporter of Lok Sabha, somehow balances committee chaos, Elvis Presley guitar solos, and late-night cooking experiments. He thrives on MUN drama (especially the Indian committees) and can multitask like a pro—managing debates while daydreaming about food. Sure, he’s “a stressful guy” with a short fuse, but that fire makes his reporting sharp. Mention biology or tech and he’ll light up; mention physics or mornings and he’ll groan. With wit, flair, and drama, Ashmit keeps Lok Sabha entertaining.
Adrish Hossain, his presence in the MUN circuit looms large, with his interest lying in security committees. A national-level debater and a burgeoning MUN enthusiast, he is perpetually on a quest to secure that elusive Best Delegate award every time when he walks in as a delegate, and in that process has earned a remarkable Outstanding Delegate streak ( trust the process ). Outside of MUNs, Adrish is a Humanities student with a keen interest in economics and international relations. He’s also a devoted Bayern Munich fan, and is indeed a calm contender despite his years.
A freshman at WBNUJS, Om is a passionate debater and a promising public speaker. He is the kind of person who walks into a room and instantly elevates the conversation—whether it’s about obscure international law provisions, geopolitics or just where to find the best food in kolkata. Armed with razor-sharp wit and a mind honed for nuance, Om prefers deadly precision in research and his instinctive understanding of the law. But don’t let his intellect fool you—he is also the person who turns committee chaos into organized brilliance, all while making everyone laugh and somehow keeping the crisis alive in committee. Equal parts humorous and relentless, he’s the person who has likes to have fun in committee especially when the stakes are high and the deadlines tighter. Whether he's dissecting a complex judgment or designing a killer update with minimal sleep and maximum memes, Om is the chairperson in whose committee delegates will have an unforgettable experience.
SAs Vice Chairperson of Churchill's War Cabinet, Shadan brings consistency, commitment, and clarity to the table. Known for balancing efficiency with approachability, he ensures discussions stay focused while giving space for diverse perspectives. His strength lies in coordination: whether it’s managing schedules, supporting the team, or stepping in when challenges arise. Dedicated and dependable, he works quietly but effectively to keep the committee running smoothly.
The Director of The Churchill’s War Cabinet at SMUN 2025 is someone who skillfully combines sharp organization with a clear sense of sarcasm. Renowned for her ability to keep discussions on track while injecting humor at just the right moments, she brings both structure and wit to the committee. Writing comes easily to her, and her talent for transforming even the most complex issues into engaging conversations makes her a standout leader. While sarcasm can be both a strength and a weakness, it is this very balance that defines her unique leadership style. Outside of the committee room, she thrives on caffeine, is captivated by Khaled Hosseini's storytelling, and finds solace in the quiet companionship of books and sleep. However, an unmade bed, looming deadlines, or a damaged book can quickly test her patience. With a blend of intelligence, humor, and a touch of intensity, she is poised to guide delegates through a committee experience that promises to be both thought-provoking and memorable.
Through her vivid journalistic narratives and conference experiences across countries, Sweta Sahoo loves expressing perspectives through words and design. With 4 years of experience in committees ranging from national politics to flagship events, she has honed her skills in multifaceted journalism. Passionate about dance, journalism, and design, she’s often found behind a laptop, sketching ideas or drawing inspiration online. At SMUN’25, as part of the International Press, she aspires to bring journalistic fervor to every delegate in the committee.
Kaushiki has always been brimming with creativity from designing clothes and capturing memories through videos to writing them down with flair. Currently in Class 11 as an Arts student, she balances her love for fashion, music, and art with a quirky, funny personality that everyone adores. Her name itself, Kaushiki, means Goddess Durga draped in silk – and she truly lives up to it with grace, warmth, and strength. A fan of The Beatles and The Smiths, and a caring friend to those around her, she is also a dedicated delegate with vast MUN experience across school and college. Now stepping in as the Vice Chair for Journalism in IPC, she looks forward to guiding participants, encouraging creativity, and ensuring an unforgettable committee experience.
At every event, you’ll spot Arindam Mukherjee with a camera in hand, capturing moments from Indian Committees to the Exposure Triangle. A generous soul who never hesitates to help, he’s known for his outspoken mind and extroverted energy. Outside committee rooms, he’s immersed in poetry, films, sports, and the occasional doom-scroll. A diehard Culer and AB de Villiers fan, Arindam is also a comic book nerd who won’t think twice before dissecting a wrong fact about his favorite characters.
The Vice-Chair of the International Press Corps (IPC) at SMUN. The most organised vice chair EVER—every article is kept typo-free because, trust her, grammatical mistakes are the real ick. One slip, and you’ll face her legendary side-eye. She brings energy and intention into every moment, thinks deeply, and feels even deeper. Her loves? Her girls, football, guitar, and absolute CLEANLINESS. Dedicated to the core, Rishika works like a true leader who cares a little too much (and overworks without complaint—Rish, seriously, don’t do that!).
